Dear June,
Thank you very much! I tried to post them in the same reply but the forum wouldn't allow that size of a post. That means that I will still be using Photobucket a bit on here!

Dear Celeste,Following is the first poem.... Snowy Mountains by Tami Durbin How majestic you are when I look upon you, from afar. When I gaze across the sky there is a command of nature, upon the mountain high. When I look upon the trees they point to the heavens you see. The beautiful birds flying high put life and joy in the sky. I know the God of heaven and earth created you because of all you're worth! Attachments:

Tami, Your scene is terrific and your poem.... I am not a writer by all means and putting it on paper is even worse. So, here is my last atempt... ---------------------------- Grape Painting Frustration I love those little round shapes, so plump, and juciy looking. But, when painting my precious grapes, they make me sweat and cry.. Practice makes perfect they say, so I will continue to try and try and try. PennyN Indy

Dear Celeste,I have made up another poem... The Rose by Tami Durbin Your aroma is as sweet as honey, It lifts my spirit when it's sunny, Your petals grow With the calyx below, The shapes of your leaves Are graceful as man perceives, Your stem and all its' strength Adds beauty and length, Your roots are strong, and reach into the ground Where weaving through the soil, they abound. Dear Celeste,I am trying again, with another poem... Eagle In The Sky by Tami Durbin You fly mighty high Eagle in the sky, The blustery wind against your wings carries you above all things, Animals fear When you come near, Your nest is in the highest of trees No matter what the breeze, Your beak is strong and able Everything about you is stable.

Penny, I love your Grapes and little poem -- so well done, and words that are so very true too. Grapes can quite easily bring sweat and tears when trying to paint them.

"The only thing that I am afraid of is a limited gamut of appreciation or understanding.
A fine musical composition is a number of sounds, related by an artist to please the ear. A fine composition in art is a number of values, colors, directions, and textures related by an artist to please the eye.
Music may have, but does not need, lyrics. Paintings may have, but do not need, objects.
The knowledgeable use of design principles -structure- makes a realistic, abstract, or non-objective painting credible." - Edgar Whitney

Dear Tami, I put it here because I wanted to remember this quote. And either realistic or non-objective sketches are good in this thread. I love both.
